What a great statement. “Often, when we have made a mistake, we have trouble admitting it, and our ego takes over. We immediately gather consensus for our point of view and try to make ourselves right. This only prolongs the process and increases our anxiety.”

When the same mistake filled patterns keep showing up (item 4.), it is probably because the person did not admit the mistake and followed the ego boosting consensus program. (item 3.)

Usually if you admit them as described in 3, you will not have to contend with 4.


Hi Bill: Thanks for taking the time to make a comment. I had a chance to take a look at your website - great job! It's taken me awhile, but I actually celebrate making mistakes. It may seem obvious, but how else can we learn?
